Whether you’re looking for a new twist to your next party, want to spend some special
one-on-one time with your toddler, or simply want to learn better baking techniques, Play Date Cupcakes can help make any of these happen! Laine Hamamura, owner of Play Date Cupcakes, started her company as a home bakery when her friends and family praised her for her baking skills, but soon realized that she enjoyed teaching others how to bake, have fun, and be creative, so she began teaching decorating classes. One class turned into another, and before she knew it she was teaching a variety of classes.
Play Date cupcakes offers decorating classes, cupcake decorating “play dates” and birthdays, private lessons, and still has room to bake cupcakes for your next event, ordered by the dozen. She puts love into everything she makes and does, and loves helping to bring out everyone’s creative side.
Play Date Cupcakes hours of operation are:
Mondays - Thursdays
10:00am - 5:00pm
9:00am - 12:00pm
With the whole world going “green”, it’s only natural that our methods of transportation go “green” as well. Melissa Nimley, owner of Eco-Friendly City Transportation, sells Electric Razor scooters as an alternative to those who do not want to invest in a car. These scooters can safely get one to work and back as long as you do not need to travel on any freeways or highways. You don’t have to worry about traffic, having enough money for gas, insurance, or registration because none of the above is needed for your electric scooter!
Along with selling electric scooters, Melissa also provides ongoing maintenance for the electric scooter so that you can be confident in riding safely wherever you go. These electric scooters can go over 20mph and can hold up to 220 lbs.

Every day, there are thousands of people across the Hawaiian Islands who are in need of medication but have to endure the long waits at their doctors’ offices or at the hospital. Niki Garcia, co-owner of Epicc Vascular Hawaii, realized this problem when she attended a conference about home infusion therapy as a nurse. In August of 2016, she started Epicc Vascular Hawaii, which offers long-term therapy lasting from two to eight weeks in the comfort of the patient’s home, long term care facility, doctor office, or wherever the patient prefers. Niki is a Vascular Access Specialist and is called the “Vein Whisperer” by her patients, and her mission is to educate nurses on proper IV insertion, maintaining PICC lines (Peripherally Inserted Central Catheters) and to improve efficiency in the current medical process for patients to receive on-time treatment (which has been a great problem in our islands).
Some of the services Niki provides are placing PICC lines, medi ports, and IVs and providing education to RNs. Her typical patient includes, but is not limited to, those who have serious infection, pregnant women, and the elderly. Her patients are screened and go through a series of criteria before being admitted as her patient. She genuinely cares about each and every person she meets and teaching others to give the highest quality patient care.
If you or someone you love is in need of Niki’s incredible service, please don’t hesitate to contact her at the above phone number, or fill out the form on her website.
It all started as a way to teach about Hina (Moon) and all of her elements. And although it has since evolved into so much more, PoMahina Designs is still a platform for wearers to become educated of the Hawaiian culture while wearing a wearable piece of art.
Kanoelani Davis, owner of PoMahina Designs, built her company on a foundation of values, morals and spirituality. She also is a Kumu Hula, so it was very important to her to not only ensure that the Hawaiian culture is taught to those who are willing to learn, but also to help make the Hawaiian culture THRIVE through all lives she touches. PoMahina Designs is more than just a clothing brand - it is a lifestyle that brings awareness to those who have paved the way for us now. It is our ancestors who inspire her to continue to create art that people can wear.
PoMahina Designs is based out of Moloka’i but is available to the world thru their online shop, which was recently opened in the Fall of 2017. Kanoelani has also brought PoMahina Designs to New Zealand as part of a fashion show there. She has also been a part of the New York Fashion Week - a great achievement for all of Hawai’i!
Kanoelani donates a percentage of her sales to support Hawaiian political rights campaigns, such as Haleakala and Mauna Kea. She also donates to local schools and churches in Moloka’i. To shop her store, visit https://www.pomahinadesigns.com/.
